Custom development

What it addresses

Production orders, shifts, batches, material flows, quality, downtime and energy resources in one system.

Capabilities illustrated by the project

MES supports day-to-day production operations: orders, scheduling, shift assignments and execution. The project includes an operator terminal and production workspaces.

Batch, routing and inter-workshop movement management is linked to traceability, quality, downtime and energy sections. Separate areas cover analytics, master data and integrations.

  • Planning: Production orders, schedules and shift assignments.
  • Execution: Operator terminal, order execution, checklists and production output.
  • Material flows: Batches, routes, stock balances and movements between workshops.
  • Quality and deviations: Sections for quality, deviations, events and traceability.
  • Energy and downtime: Recording and analysis of relevant production events.
  • Equipment and data: Equipment and work center master data; a SCADA data ingestion log.

Integrations

The application includes an integrations section and a SCADA log. The equipment connected depends on the site project.

Artificial intelligence

Potential enhancement

AI could be used to investigate deviations, explain causes of downtime and provide guidance based on production data. Whether these scenarios work in a particular implementation requires separate verification.

  • Analysis of recurring deviations and production events.
  • Finding information in operator instructions.
  • Planning recommendations based on accumulated data.
